Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon stick margarine or butter
- 1 1/4 cups chopped onion
- 3/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup reduced-calorie ketchup
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons barbecue smoked seasoning (such as Hickory Liquid Smoke)
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 1 (16-ounce) can red beans, drained
- 1 (15.8-ounce) can Great Northern beans, drained
Directions
- Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté 4 minutes. Stir in ketchup and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
