  • 2pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2cup KRAFT THICK ‘N SPICY Original Barbecue Sauce
  • 1pkg. (2.52 oz.) OSCAR MAYER Fully Cooked Bacon, chopped
  • 1small tomato, chopped
  • 1/2cup chopped green peppers
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
  1. SPREAD cream cheese onto platter.
  2. DRIZZLE with barbecue sauce.
  3. TOP with remaining ingredients.

American Potato Salad

Ingredients
  • 5 pounds red potatoes
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 3 stalks celery, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add potatoes, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender but still firm. Drain, cool and cut into cubes.
  2. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Cover and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool, peel and chop.
  3. In a large bowl, combine chopped potatoes and eggs. Mix together mayonnaise, chopped onion, green onion, green pepper, and celery. Season with salt and pepper, then mix well. Cover, and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

Stuffed Jalapeno Firecrackers

Ingredients
  • 12 jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • Cajun seasoning, or to taste
  • 12 slices jalapeno bacon, cut in half

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven’s broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  2. Fill the jalapeno peppers with cream cheese. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning on top, then wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick. Arrange the wrapped jalapeno peppers in a single layer, face down on a broiler rack.
  3. Broil in the preheated oven until the bacon becomes crisp, 8 to 15 minutes on each side.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 1/3 pounds ground beef sirloin
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 slices pepperjack cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns, split
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 4 slices tomato
Instructions
  1. Preheat grill for medium-high heat. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground sirloin, jalapeno pepper, onion, garlic, 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce using your hands. Divide into 4 balls, and flatten into patties.
  3. Lightly oil the grilling surface, and place the patties on the grill. Cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until well done. During the last 2 minutes, lay a slice of cheese on top of each patty. Spread the seasoned mayonnaise onto the insides of the buns. Put burgers in the buns, and top with lettuce and tomato to serve.

  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 pint blueberries, rinsed and drained
  • 2 pints fresh strawberries, rinsed and sliced
Instructions
  1. Prepare cake according to package directions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan. Cool completely.
  2. Frost cake with whipped topping. Place blueberries in a square in the corner, and arrange sliced strawberries as stripes to make an American flag. Chill until serving.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1 rib celery, diced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced, optional
  • 1/4 cup slived almonds, toasted
  • 1/3 cup golden raisins
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup mayonnaise, or to taste
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon curry powder, or more, to taste
  • salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced chicken, celery, onion, almonds, and raisins. Toss with the lemon juice and 1/2 cup mayonnaise. Add more mayonnaise, as needed, then add curry powder, salt, and pepper, to taste.
  2. Serve on lettuce or in pita pockets or sandwich rolls.

Ingredients
  • 1 envelope active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (approx. 105°)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 7 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup shortening, softened
  • oil for deep frying
  • powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. In large bowl, sprinkle yeast over the warm water; stir to dissolve and let stand for 5 minutes. Add sugar, salt, beaten eggs, and evaporated milk. Whisk or use electric mixer to blend thoroughly. Add 4 cups of the flour; beat until smooth. Add shortening; gradually blend in remaining flour. Cover with plastic wrap and chill at least 4 hours or overnight. Roll out on floured board to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into 2 1/2 to 3-inch squares. Deep fry at 360° for 2 to 3 minutes until lightly browned on both sides. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. Serve hot with coffee.
  2. Dough can cut and frozen, separated in container with waxed paper.

  • 1 bag (12 to 16 ounces) chopped frozen spinach, thawed
  • 1 1/2 pounds haddock or cod fillets
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
  1. Grease a 2-quart baking dish. Heat oven to 375°.
  2. Arrange spinach in the bottom of the baking dish. Top with the fish fillets. Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper. Spread soup over the fish fillets.
  3. Toss bread crumbs with the melted butter until thoroughly coated. Sprinkle over the soup layer.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Ingredients
  • 8 tablespoons cold butter, divided
  • 2 medium onions, chopped (sweet onions or yellow onions)
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, about 10 1/2 ounces
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk, low fat is fine
Instructions
  1. In a skillet over medium-low heat, cook the onions in 3 tablespoons of butter, stirring frequently, until very soft and golden brown. Watch carefully and turn the heat down if the onions brown too quickly. Set aside and let cool.
  2. Heat the oven to 400°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir to blend well. Cut the remaining 5 tablespoons of butter into smaller pieces and work into the dry ingredients using fingers or a pastry blender until the mixture resembles crumbs.
  4. Add the milk and onions with their melted butter. Stir until all ingredients are moistened. On a floured surface, pat the soft dough out into a circle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut out with biscuit cutters and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 10 to 14 minutes, until nicely browned. If desired, brush tops with melted butter while they’re hot.
  6. Makes about 10 standard sized biscuits. Or, about 12 to 16 with smaller (1 1/2- to 2-inch) biscuit cutters.
